LED lights pop up on so many different gadgets and gizmos. From airplanes to computer keyboards, LED's provide bright, long-lasting light in dark areas. However, besides just shining on computer desktops, these LED's when turned into LED growlights provide year-round light to plants. This lighting technique ensures that plants grow and remain productive no matter what the condition or time. LED growlights provide many options for construction and give a unique feel to the green thumb.

There are two techniques to grow your plants when using lights. These techniques vary from simple to complex. One technique just requires potting soil, while the other relies on growing medium and nutrient solution:
  • The soil method stands as the first method to growing plants. Simply set the plant in a pot with soil and water frequently. Attach the LED growlights to some suspending medium and immerse the plants with light. Now, watch the plants grow steadily like rockets. Disadvantages of this method involve excessive dirt and debris during transplantation.
  • The hydroponic method of growing stands as the best method. This method involves placing plants in dry clay aggregate, glass powder, cedar, or pebbles and introducing water directly to the roots. The air spaces in the growing medium decrease the probability of root rot, a fungus that forms in low oxygen soil.
  • Both methods benefit greatly from the use of hydrogen peroxide solutions. These concoctions increase oxygenation of the roots. Also, if pests pose too much of a problem, the use of cayenne pepper and soap lie as a helpful alternative to conventional pesticides. Just remember, when individuals eat organic, the level of health rises exponentially.
When using LED growlights alongside of the above mentioned methods, There exist multiple design possibilities. These designs give cool looks to gardens and homes. Here are a few examples of great designs:
  • Individuals can put LED's on a long string. This technique creates a Christmas light effect which grants a year-long encouraging display. When using growlights, many choices as to color and length exist. These options make a great conversation piece.
  • People can place them on vertical poles and surround the plants. This orientation creates an open terrarium effect. By experimenting with the height and distance of the poles, varying possibilities present themselves.
  • Hanging plants in the house with LED growlights always appears attractive. Using this technique will score anyone points with friends and family. This particular way also clears up coveted floor space. Hang them on the wall or above the floor for maximum effect.
  • Placing the plants in a transparent aquarium gives a nice touch as well.
The task of growing with LED growlights seems like an act of art. Make decorative and growing possibilities the statement of the community. Eat tasty dishes of varying salad vegetables from your reduced growing time plants. Construct zen gardens of hanging plants. All of this stands possible with LED's.
